Learn to paint in your vacation

Each week, a professional teacher accompanies a small group of beginners and advanced students of all ages to paint. The teachers take into account your interests, style and skills. The landscape around the castle is an important source of inspiration. They try to work as much as possible outside in the open air or in the atmosphere of the studio. Personal creativity comes in a relaxed way to development. Fun in the painting is the key. Your hosts provide together with the teachers and the cooks for a warm welcome and good organization. So can you enjoy a creative and relaxing vacation.

The castle, the rooms

Château de Grimonster is a comfortable 19th century castle which has retained its original state as possible. The spacious guest rooms are furnished with antiques and equipped with a sink and CV. There are six singles and three double rooms. Besides the rooms there are enough bathrooms and toilets. The castle is uniquely situated in an old park, with trees, beautiful lakes and streams. There is a studio with chandeliers and in the lounges you can enjoy our large collection of art books, which will certainly contribute to your inspiration and enjoyment in painting. Breakfast is served in the cozy lounge. The lunches and dinners are served as much as possible in the sheltered garden. From the terrace you walk directly into the woods. In the neighborhood you can walk, cycling and golf, and there are wonderful towns to visit.

Your stay in the castle is inclusive:

• Daily supervision of an experienced teacher.
• Use of drawing paper, pencils, charcoal, paints, easels, palettes, watercolor shelves, chairs. Materials such as watercolor and acrylic paper and prep.
• Accommodation, breakfast, lunch, coffee / tea and three-course dinner including wine.
• Your bed is made, towels are provided.
