This is possible now! Camping "De Hertshoorn" in Garderen, in the heart of wild park 'de Veluwe', gives you the unique possibility to sleep in a tent that hangs from a tree! With little luxury and comfort, but full of ambience, you stay high and dry.
The tree tent is ready for use when you arrive. Inside you find two half round mattresses, big enough for 2 adults and 2 small children. In the ridge of the tent is a small lamp. Near every tree tent is a picknick table. You need to take along all other camping gear yourself. So a pillow and a sleeping bag are indispensable! Good bathroom fixtures and delightful meals are close at hand. 'Veluwe Vacationland Camping De Hertshoorn' is a first-class family camping with numerous modern facilities, situated in a wooden neighbourhood.
Since 1998 three tree tents hanging from trees on 'Camping De Hertshoorn'. They hang next to each other, on a sheltered place of the camping site.
Costs per night per tree tent (max. 2 adults, 2 childs): Euro 42,50 per night excluding tourist tax about Euro 0,85 p.p.p.n.

The tree tents hang in the 'Veluwe Vacationland Camping De Hertshoorn' in the village of 'Garderen' in The Netherlands.
It is a Eurotop and 5***** camping at wild park 'de Veluwe'.De Hertshoorn is a touristic comfort camping just outside of the village of 'Garderen' in the direction of 'Putten'. Peace, silence, ambiance, style and respect for nature describes the local motto. The camping is free of cars, pets are not allowed, There is no bar and no bingo. In 1990 'De Hertshoorn' was Camping of the year and since 1999 is registered as 'Eurotopcamping'.
Camping 'De Hertshoorn' borders more then 1800 ha 'Speulder- en Sprielderoerbos' forest. The domain of swines, deer, foxes, rabbits and other wild life. The forest is open to the public and has great walk and bycicle routes.
Other facilities of camping 'De Hertshoorn' are: een tennis court, table tennis, table soccer, a jeu-de-boules court, a children pet farm, large playing grounds for kids, a unique sand and water playing ground, an indoor family pool with heating. All facilities are very safe for children.
The camping has a vacation store, a restaurant and four floor heated, clean sanitary buildings.
