Description
In the middle of the Veluwemeer, near Harderwijk, lies a small island, called 'De Kluut'. On this uninhabited island you are invited for an excellent holiday in the middle of untouched nature with a magnificent water view.
A small part of this island has been developed into an attractive campsite, where you can stay for a short or long period. You can choose to spend the night in pre-arranged, authentic tents such as Tipis, the well-known Indian-tents, or Yurts, Nomad-tents from Mongolia. There is no need to carry around camping-equipment, but every comfort will be provided so you can enjoy the simplicity and care freeness of the outdoor life. Whether you like water sports, joining creative and inspiring workshops, meeting other people, or simply relaxing in nature, this uninhabited island has much to discover and experience!
On the island 'De Kluut' guests can get familiar with sustainability because the camping is very economical with energy saving resources. The water for the showers and toilets comes from its own source and is purified with environment-friendly detergents. The waste is separated when collected and the flyers and our letter paper are made from recycled paper. There is information on sustainability, reduction of energy usage, biological gardening and conservation of nature, if you desire to learn more.
The biological vegetables and herb garden is an important component of CampSpirit. Here vegetables, fruits and herbs are grown without artificial fertilizer and chemical pesticides and free of genetic manipulation. Depending on the season you can buy several sorts of vegetables and fruits to prepare healthy and tasty meals, fresh from the garden.
Nowadays everybody has a busy life; work, training, relationships and all kinds of social obligations that demand much time. It becomes more and more difficult to find time to rest for yourself or time to do your favourite hobbies and other activities.
CampSpirit is an inspiring and peaceful place where you can take part in all kinds of activities. These activities are: courses and workshops about creativity, health, self-awareness and self-development. For example: dancing, mosaic, Mandala drawing, painting, Tai Chi, Yoga, Reiki, Energy Balancing, Feng Shui etc. Also, you can undergo several treatments, such as massage, Reiki-treatments, Shiatsu and Foot reflexology etc. All activities are offered at low rates so everyone can join. CampSpirit offers you a lot for free: parking on Park Flevostrand;
crossings to and from the port of Flevostrand, as many times as you want; showers; gas for the gas range, oil for the oil lamps and wood; use of the beach and the indoor swimming pool of Park Flevostrand.
