To meet a real ghost you have to travel to Scotland, off course.
The Park Hotel is said to be a haunted house; several guests have reported seeing and hearing "things". What those "things" are you have to discover yourself in Scotland.
Gillian and Steven Wray are also welcoming "normal" people in their hotel. In the Park Hotel in this beautiful part of East Scotland, they try to make your vacation as comfortable as possible.
In the hotel it is not allowed to smoke, as in all Scotland.
The Park Hotel is a large detached Victorian house and is situated by the war memorial in Macduff, which is around 700 feet above sea-level and has spectacular sea views. It has very large private parking facilities. "The Park" is graded by VisitScotland.com as a 3-star guest house. It is pet-friendly (provided the pets are friendly!).
The hotel
The Park Hotel is situated a few hundred meters above sealevel and therefore you have a beautiful sight along the North Sea.This hotel has a three star ranking from the website VisitScotland.com. There are four beautifully appointed letting bedrooms, all are centrally heated ,en-suite, with tea/coffee making facilities and televisions. There is also a residents lounge.
There is a lively public bar with karaoke/discos & live bands usually on Friday and Saturday nights. We have a pool table and up to date juke box.
Vicinity
In the beautiful vicinity of the Park Hotel you won't be bored.
The harbour of Macduff is a very nice place to be. From the coast you can make several boat trips to the sea with her dolphins and whales.In the village Macduff you can visit the Macduff Marine Aquarium.
The exhibition in Duff House is a beautiful one. In the castle are permanent exhibitions but there are also visiting exhibitions.
The tea room in Duff House: legendary home-baking and unsurpassed home-made soup in a relaxing atmosphere, come and unwind.
In the neighbourhood are a lot of beautiful castles you can visit. Maybe you can see some more ghosts over there...
